What is the 2-Minute Buzz?

This presentation opportunity is open to leaders, practitioners, students, researchers, advocates, and others wishing to share open-source resources and tools, innovative programs and partnerships, field experiences, and significant research findings.

The 2-Minute Buzz is a short, TED Talk-like opportunity for speakers to take the stage to share a novel idea, perspective on a topic, or research finding with the audience in just two minutes.

To ensure the 2-Minute Buzz maintains its dynamic and impactful structure, proposals should be:

  1. Thought-provoking
    • Presenting a novel perspective on a common issue or introducing an idea that challenges traditional thinking. The goal is to spark curiosity and encourage attendees to consider new approaches, paradigms, or frameworks related to complex care.
    • These talks should encourage the audience to think critically, re-evaluate existing assumptions, or consider the broader implications of your ideas. Whether your perspective is based on research findings, personal experience, or an emerging trend, it should provoke reflection and possibly spark further exploration among attendees.
  2. Engaging
    • Since the format is very short, your ability to captivate the audience quickly is crucial. This can include telling a compelling story, acting out a skit, using relevant examples, or demonstrating the impact of your idea in an engaging and dynamic way. Humor, personal anecdotes, and emotional appeal can also make your presentation more memorable and effective.
