Bio: Aurea Shelton is the mom of two amazing boys living in Champaign/ Urbana, Il. Her oldest is extremely strong-willed and has complex medical needs and her youngest has the makings of a lawyer (he can get you to buy him ice cream with ice cream in his hand). Professionally, Aurea is the Director of People and Culture at Salt & Light. She holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Indiana Tech University. When she’s not spending time with her boys, she is passionately advocating for the needs of medically complex kiddos. She loves being outside in nature as it allows her to feel closer to God and she is a believer in using holistic medicine together with the technology of our time to create the best health outcomes. Aurea hopes to use her experience, knowledge, and voice to positively impact healthcare outcomes for children and families.
