Navigating the healthcare spectrum and ensuring a loved one’s information is available across medical facilities is paramount to not only ensuring full medical history is available at all times, but also peace of mind for family members and caregivers. -Eileen Troutman, Department of Health Chief Information Officer and HIN Coordinator

Camden Coalition HIE joins statewide network that connects half of New Jersey’s hospitals (2018)

The Camden Coalition Health Information Exchange (HIE) provides real-time data that providers need to serve their patients. Launched in 2010, the Camden Coalition HIE collects secure medical information from a variety of sources, including:

  • regional hospitals,
  • primary care providers,
  • laboratory and radiology groups,
  • correctional facilities,
  • and other licensed healthcare facilities and providers.

The Camden Coalition HIE is a member of the New Jersey Health Information Network, which aims to connect providers to more hospital and registry data throughout the state of New Jersey. The Camden Coalition HIE is also a member of CIVITAS for Health.

The Camden Coalition HIE is the primary source of interoperability in the region and the backbone of numerous regional healthcare initiatives. As such, we are always seeking to expand the data contributors and service offerings of our HIE to better support care transitions and clinical decision-making.
