We are currently seeking proposals for workshop presentations for Putting Care at the Center 2026.

Workshop presentation opportunities are open to leaders, practitioners, students, researchers, advocates, and others who want to share actionable knowledge, teach practical skills, explore policy or research insights, or address common challenges in complex care.

Workshop submission guidelines

Putting Care at the Center 2026 workshop sessions are intended to expose participants to knowledge and skills that are relevant and easily actionable to the complex care field. Examples include addressing a common challenge in complex care delivery, teaching a specific skill, or discussing widely applicable research finding or policy topic.

Workshops should focus on generalizable takeaways for a broad audience and centered around one or more of the following areas of focus:

• workforce
• complex care practice
• research and evaluation
• leadership of people with lived experience
• payment and policy
• medical-legal partnership (MLP)
• hubs and backbone organizations
• housing and health
• food and nutrition

Successful applications often include representatives from multiple organizations who can speak from different perspectives on a shared topic. We encourage workshops to be interactive with the audience, with features including, but not limited to, group exercises, polling, word clouds, discussion boards, live Q&A, and small group discussions.

Core tenets:

• Priority will be given to presenters who have lived experience of complex health and social needs, and presenters from underrepresented and/or marginalized communities.
• Presenters are encouraged to ground their content in relevant complex care frameworks, including the Blueprint for Complex Care, ecosystems of care, and the complex care core competencies.
• Presentations should be designed for attendees from diverse sectors, disciplines, and professions, using clear and accessible language to ensure content is understandable to participants with varied backgrounds and levels of expertise.

• October 14-16: Putting Care at the Center 2026
