Community & consumer engagement

Street parking is available. Light refreshments will be served.

Join the Camden Coalition for a community town hall to learn about psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) and give feedback to shape research on this emerging treatment.

PAT — a combination of medication and traditional mental health supports like psychotherapy — is being studied as a potential treatment for multiple complex mental health conditions. New Jersey recently enacted the Psilocybin Behavioral Health Access and Therapy Pilot Program, which will support PAT pilots at three hospitals across the state.

As this research moves forward, it is important that community members understand what is being studied and have a voice in how future research and programs are designed. Town hall participants are invited to share questions, concerns, hopes, and priorities. We will use the input collected at the townhall to craft recommendations on future research, including developing resources to ensure that PAT programs are designed in ways that are safe, respectful, and community-centered.
