Exploring tools to support pregnant and parenting patients who use drugs
With support from Vital Strategies, the Camden Coalition has developed a toolkit called Creating safe care: Supporting pregnant and parenting patients who use drugs for health and other care providers. The toolkit features best practices and new and emerging models from the field, and was designed to be family-focused and non-punitive, and to recognize the spectrum and variability of substance use.
Join us for a moderated panel toolkit launch discussion on August 4 at 1:00 pm ET to learn about its tools and strategies, and to hear from some of its contributors including:
- Michelle Adyniec and Emily Wasuna of the Camden Coalition who will highlight some of the strategies and tools for effective care with pregnant and parenting people who use drugs
- Iris Jones of Cooper University Hospital’s Center for Healing who will share insights into the approaches and models of care used when working with pregnant and parenting people who use drugs
- Kate Boulton of Vital Strategies who will moderate the panel discussion
