Connie Montgomery is a mother, wife, author, retired business owner and occupational therapist, a patient and family advocate, and a successful international orator who is passionate about her work in the bleeding disorder community. In this interactive session, Connie discusses how people with lived experiences can use their personal stories as a catalyst to create change. Drawing from her own experiences, Connie will share practical strategies to:

  • use your stories to help others understand the impact of social determinants of health,
  • identity the right opportunities to use your lived experiences in the service of others, and
  • find partnerships and projects that are the best fit for your personal goals and interests.
