Conference art exhibit

Putting Care at the Center 2023 will feature an art exhibit hosted in collaboration with Vinfen, a leading provider of community-based services in the Boston area. See a variety of art — from paintings to handcrafted pieces — created by their program participants on this year’s conference theme: Elevating behavioral health in whole-person care. This three-day event will provide conference attendees with the opportunity to browse unique, one-of-a-kind artwork from local artists and provide a chance to learn more about art as a form of whole-person care.

The art exhibit will take place on the second floor, Mezzanine level of the Boston Park Plaza from Wednesday, November 1, 2023 – Friday, November 3, 2023.

The opportunity to meet artists and purchase artwork will be provided during select times.

Webster Clubhouse in Roslindale Massachusetts is a community center for adults with long-term mental health diagnoses. The aim of Webster Clubhouse is to foster a sense of community through participation in the Work Ordered Day, where every member has a role in the day-to-day functioning of the clubhouse. Here, members and staff work side by side in multiple growth encouraging areas relating to employment, intake, social/communications, and finally the art unit. The art unit is where we put care in the center of creativity as a means of coping and as a form of catharsis. At Webster Clubhouse artists can explore a wide variety of mediums for self-expression as a vital component of healing and understanding mental health conditions.
